Log open submittals and RFIs, see what's stuck in review as a days-in-review histogram, and track cycle times as items come back. Runs entirely offline; everything persists in this browser via localStorage.
Use limits: This is a field-side mirror, not the record. The submittal register in the project's PM platform (Procore, Kahua, e-Builder, ACC) is the contractual log. Age here is measured against the date sent — so it's only honest if you log each item the day it goes out, not from memory at the monthly meeting. Review durations and the definition of a “complete” submittal come from the contract specifications.

How the Numbers Are Derived
Aging, buckets, and the threshold
An item is open while its Returned field is blank. Its age is today − date sent in calendar days (dates parsed as local, so no timezone drift). Open items fall into buckets 0–7, 8–14, 15–30, 31–60, 60+ days — exactly 7 days lands in the first bucket, 8 in the second. A bucket is drawn in the fail tone when its entire range is past the threshold (its lower edge exceeds it); at the default 30-day threshold that's the 31–60 and 60+ buckets. Returned items leave the histogram but stay in the table with their cycle time (returned − sent) shown.
The stats panel
Median open age is the middle value of the open items' ages (average of the two middles for an even count). The oldest open item is your action item — name and age. “Over threshold” counts open items whose age exceeds the review duration. Average cycle time is the mean of returned − sent across every item that has come back — the honest measure of how long your reviews actually take, revision by revision.
Field notes
Log the item the day it goes out. Aging is measured from the date sent; a register reconstructed at month-end understates every age and hides the ones that are actually stuck — the same contemporaneous-records habit the working-day and SWPPP trackers rely on.
A submittal returned “revise and resubmit” is not closed — it starts a new revision cycle. Log R1 as its own line the day it goes back out. Rolling R0 and R1 into one line makes the cycle time look half as long as it was.
The histogram is the meeting slide: it shows the owner's rep where the backlog is without naming names. The oldest-item stat is the sentence that follows — “the oldest open submittal is 74 days, here's what it's holding.”
Not every old item is the reviewer's fault. Some sit open because the resubmittal is on your side of the fence. The tracker shows the age; the cause is the conversation.
